Sometimes, you can love someone so much and still, the things you say can come out all wrong.

Not fueled by anything but love, the wrong words can find their way into your relationship from hidden places you didn’t even know existed.

Maybe it’s self sabotage, maybe it’s fear, maybe it’s a little of both.

You don’t mean to hurt them or cause them pain, but the demons that you wrestle with come slowly creeping back.

The insecurities and doubts, they can slowly make their way into your subconscious..

And until the words you’ve uttered have cut your love to the bone..and you end up in the place that you never meant to be.

Misunderstood and reeling from pain, you wish more than anything you could just roll back time and take it all back..

But you can’t.

Your breath feels so shallow, you feel as though you can’t catch your breath...

It’s then that you realize how very physical pain can be.

The silence of a hurting heart can be the most deafening of all, and there’s no cure but to hope and wait.

It’s a hard place to be in, not knowing where you stand or how things will turn out, only that you can’t control any of it.

No matter how much you love someone, all you can do is hope for a better tomorrow and their forgiving heart.

Only time and destiny will determine where your path will take you, but if you’ve done all you can do, the most painful part is the waiting.

You close your eyes and hope that love is enough to make it past the mistakes and misspoken words, but you just don’t know.

What’s meant to be will always find a way, and that’s what you tell yourself in those moments of nervous sadness.

You hope that the dawn of a new day will find the one person that means more to you than anything will understand your vulnerabilities and forgive your mistakes..

But nothing is ever certain.

All you can do is wait and hope to see that name pop up on your phone as you find yourself holding your breath.
