I'm not perfect, I'm me. I've made bad decisions and wrong choices, but I'm me. I've said the wrong things, because I'm me. I don't like everything I've done, but I did it because I'm me. I've loved the wrong people and trusted the wrong people and I'm still me . If I had the chance to start again, I wouldn't change a thing. Why? Because I'm me. ਕਹਿਣ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਦੂਰ ਸਹੀ ਨਾ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਸਾਂਝ ਰਹੀ, 

ਛੱਲਾ ਉਂਗਲ ਮੱਲੀ ਬੈਠਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਏ ।

ਚਾਹ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਕੱਢ ਪਾਉਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਦੇ ਘੇਰੇ ਚੋਂ,

When they see what it takes, they back down and seek for an easier life. Sooner or later, they find out, nothing in life is really easy. Both the good and the bad is hard. 

To reach for greatness is hard, to remain in obscurity is hard, choose your 'hard'.

You can't become a champion without fighting battles, you can't run from difficulties and think you will be great. 

 Nothing good and lasting comes easy, don't be surprised when you meet the hard while going for the best. If it was easy, it's probably not good and most certainly won't last.

Stop hoping and searching for an easy life, start getting used to hard. Learn to embrace it and let it fuel your drive.

Life gets hard, things go wrong, but no matter what happens, you've got to stay strong.

When it gets hard, live it anyway. Don't wish it was easier, rather strive to be stronger.

There is no easy path to glory, there is no rosy road to fame, be courageous and face the battle, that's the only way to win.

ਅਜਬ ਦਸਤੂਰ ਮੁਲਕ-ਏ-ਇਸ਼ਕ ਬਸ ਝੰਡੇ ਝੁਲਾਏ ਨੂੰ।ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਨੀ ਤੇ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਜਾਏ ਨੂੰ ।

ਅਜਬ ਦਸਤੂਰ ਮੁਲਕ-ਏ-ਇਸ਼ਕ ਬਸ ਝੰਡੇ ਝੁਲਾਏ ਨੂੰ।

ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਨੀ ਤੇ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਜਾਏ ਨੂੰ ।

ਫਿਜ਼ਾ ਗਮਗੀਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਤੋਪਾਂ ਤੇ ਬੰਦੂਕਾਂ ਨੇ, 

ਕੇ ਛੱਡ ਝਗੜੇ ਗਲੇ ਲਾਓ ਘਰੇ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਆਏ ਨੂੰ।

ਜੋ ਗੂੰਗੇ ਬੋਲੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਨੇ ਸੁਣ ਚੀਕਾਂ ਆਵਾਮ ਦੀਆਂ,

ਕੋਈ ਇੱਕ ਤਾਂ ਖੜੇ ਆਕੇ ਰੋਕੇ ਘਮਸਾਨ ਛਾਏ ਨੂੰ।

ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਦੀ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਕੀਤੀ ਨਾ ਸਾਕੀ, 

ਕਿੰਝ ਸਮਝਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲੇ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਹੱਥ ਹਿਲਾਏ ਨੂੰ।

ਕੇ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਮੰਨ ਲਏ ਇਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਗਲਤੀ ਹੈ, 

ਮੈਨੂੰ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਨਾਲ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਅਜ਼ਮਾਏ ਨੂੰ।

"डर......

 "डर......

आधी रात में मां की नींद खुल गई थी और बेटे को बहू के कमरे की बजाय अपने बिस्तर पर बच्चों की तरह आड़ा-तिरछा लेटा हुआ पाकर आज फिर उसका दिल आशंकाओं से भर उठा था....

बेटे के सर के नीचे एक तकिया लगा उसके माथे को सहलाते हुए वह धीरे से बुदबुदाई -अब तू कुछ परेशान सा रहता है....

नहीं मां....शायद मां के स्पर्श से बेटे की कच्ची नींद भी खुल गई थी और वह करवट ले मां के करीब आ गया था...

पिछले महीने पति के गुजर जाने के बाद अब उसे भी गहरी नींद कहां आती थी..

रातें तो यूंही आंखें मूंद हल्की झपकियों में ही कट रही थी ऊपर से बेटे की यह बेचैनी...

आजकल जाने कब तू मेरे बिस्तर पर आकर सो जाता है। बहू से नाराज है क्या....

नहीं मां.... किसी अबोध की तरह मां से लिपटने की कोशिश करता इस सवाल को भी वह टाल गया...

मां ने वही बिस्तर से सटे मेज पर रखें तांबे के लोटे से एक घूंट पानी पीकर लोटा वापस मेज पर रख दिया था और बिस्तर पर लेटने की बजाय एक तकिए का सहारा ले दीवार से अपनी पीठ टिका बैठ गई थी...

"फिर क्या बात है बेटा...

कुछ भी नही मां...

मां की गोद को छोटे बच्चों की तरह बाहों में भरने की कोशिश करता वह उसके हर सवाल को खारिज कर गया था...

बेटा ....बता ना...

तेरी बेचैनी देख मेरा दिल घबराता है...

उसने बेटे का सर अपनी गोद में रख लिया था।

मां की घबराहट महसूस कर बेटे ने अब खुद सोने या मां के सो जाने का इंतजार करना छोड़ पीठ के बल लेट मां के दोनों हाथ अपने हाथों में ले अपने सीने पर रख लिया था...

"मां.... आपको याद है, जब मैं बड़ा हो रहा था। पापा ने मेरा कमरा अलग कर दिया था...

"अपने लिए अलग कमरे की जिद्द भी तो तूने ही की थी मां ने उसे याद दिलाया था...

"हां....लेकिन तब आप मेरे सो जाने के बाद उस कमरे में आकर मेरे माथे को सहलाती अक्सर मेरे बिस्तर पर ही सो जाया करती थी....

"और सुबह मुझे अपने बिस्तर पर पाकर तू अक्सर मुझसे एक सवाल पूछा करता था...

याद है...

सोई गहरी रात में मां-बेटे भूली-बिसरी बातें याद कर रहे थे...

"हां.... याद है...

"अच्छा...तो बता क्या पूछता था... सुबह की कहीं कितनी ही बातों को शाम तक भूल जाने वाले बेटे को बरसों पुरानी वह बात कहां याद होगी.. यह सोच मां मुस्कुराई थी...

"यही की.... क्या आप पापा से नाराज हो....

बेटे की अद्भुत यादाश्त क्षमता से रूबरू होती मां का निस्तेज होता चेहरा अचानक एक अद्भुत मुस्कान के साथ कमरे की मदीम रोशनी में भी जगमगा उठा...

हां ....पर बेटा....तुझे ऐसा क्यों लगता था....

आज वर्षो बाद शायद मां भी शिद्दत से बेटे के मन की उस बात को जान लेना चाहती थी जिसे जानने की फुर्सत उसे आज से पहले कभी नहीं मिली...

"क्योंकि मैं आपको हमेशा पापा के साथ देखना चाहता था....

पिता को याद करते हुए बेटे ने अपने सीने पर रखे मां के दोनों हाथों पर अपनी पकड़ मजबूत की थी....

"बेटा.... मैं भी तुम्हें हमेशा बहू के साथ देखना चाहती हूं...मां ने झुक कर बेटे का माथा चूमकर कहा...

"मां.... तब आप पापा को कमरे में अकेला छोड़ मेरे पास क्यों आ जाती थी....

बरसों बाद बेटा भी अपने मन की जिज्ञासा मां के सामने रख रहा था...

"बेटा...डर लगता था कि अकेले कमरे में कहीं तू डर ना जाए....

"मां.... अब जब पापा नहीं रहे, मुझे भी डर लगता है...

"क्यों बेटा..." मां अपने बेटे का "डर " जानने को अधीर हो उठी ....

"कहीं आप अपने अकेलेपन से डर ना जाओ...

इसलिए मैं .....

इसके आगे वह कुछ कह ही नहीं पाया, मां-बेटा एक दूजे से लिपट गए थे और सारे शब्द आंसुओं में बह गए थे...

Never feel sorry for yourself. View all the difficulties that come your way as a challenge to overcome, and one that will build you to become all that you desire.

I know you wish things are better, I know you've given your all and you deserve something more. This is not a time to give up on your hustles, it's not the end of the road.

I know you've been beaten, you are tired of the struggles, you've fallen severally, and you've probably gotten used to it.

Though you fall a thousand times, don't stay down, pick up something from the fall, and rise with new strength.

I know you don't expect your path to be this hard, you didn't expect life to be this complicated, but you are already here and no matter how many times you've failed, you can still succeed if you dare to keep going after whatever you seek.

You are here but you won't be here for long. You must make something out of your presence and leave your mark in this world, one that will be remembered long after you are gone.

Your pain and struggles, the scars you got from your journey will be an inspiration to the coming generation, that's why you must not give up now. Keep working on yourself, on your dreams until it comes true.
